In Northeast Nigeria, thousands of families are displaced. Many young women and girls become vulnerable to violence, abuse and even risk trafficking. Many individuals and families suffer from the adverse effects of trauma, many more children are out of school and are at risk of forced labour, trafficking or being lost.
With broken/separated families, endangered women and girls as well as restive youths with broken dreams, Salama Centre as a leading social service provider serves to bring healing and succour providing holistic trauma healing, skills acquisition, reintegrating families into better conditions, promoting peaceful living and safeguarding and protecting children through safe education and safe spaces.
